Jennifer Jill Scott

June 21, 1971 – January 31, 2023

Jennifer Jill Scott was born on June 21, 1971, in San Diego California, to parents Judith Anne Scott and Gary Edward Scott. Jennifer is known to her family, friends, and thousands of patients as Jennifer Keith Armstrong.
Jennifer left San Diego with her family at an early age to live in many states and moved to Germany in 1982 where her dad was in the Navy. She returned to Colorado Springs during her sophomore year and graduated from Rampart High School in 1989. No time was wasted as she knew her goal was to be a registered nurse so she attended Beth El College of Nursing and graduated in 1993 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Jennifer is proud to say that she was never without a job, and her early days of nursing were in small towns near Polson, Montana, where she has deep family roots. Jennifer and her family spent every summer on vacations to Flathead Lake where she will be dearly missed. She especially loved when the brisket was served, Saturday garage sales, and weekend street fairs with her mom and sisters.
During this time, Jennifer met her first husband, Jeff Armstrong (married 20 years), and they spent time in Washington where Jennifer earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Washington State University in 2000. Jeff was hired at Hermiston Fire and Emergency Services and Jennifer accepted a nurse practitioner position with Dr. Gifford.
She was blessed with her first child Benjamin Armstrong and started her own small medical practice. Her popularity grew because she was the first and only independent nurse practitioner east of Hood River, and remained in her own practice the rest of her life seeing patients from all over the Pacific Northwest. Their daughter Amy Armstrong was born in 2007.
In 2009, Jennifer became the healthcare provider for the Umatilla Hospital District, where she further developed a large following of patients and began focusing on natural medicine. Jennifer would travel annually to medical seminars learning about alternative ways to manage diabetes, hormones, thyroid and cardiac health.
Jennifer believed in community and served five years with the Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District as an RN medic/wildland firefighter, Morrow County Health District ambulance for eight years, and recently Boardman Fire Rescue District. She was the medical provider for the Umatilla Detox program for over 10

years and the on-call provider for numerous jails throughout Oregon and Washington.
In 2017, she married Mark Keith and founded Encore Wellness 4 Life, expanding into Washington and Eastern Oregon where Jennifer was able to expand her knowledge in integrative functional medicine and IV therapy. The pandemic of 2020 brought a new challenge to Jennifer as she became a leader on the front line of COVID as the first independent clinic in Umatilla County and the Tri-Cities to perform testing. On weekends, she would travel to long-term care facilities throughout the Pacific Northwest and tested over 8,000 residents with her care team. Jennifer treated hundreds of people in her own clinic with IV therapy and nutrition to overcome their illnesses. She is proud to say that she refused the vaccination due to lack of research.
Jennifer’s motivation was spending time with her children at fairs, rodeos and concerts in the summer, along with trips to Montana at Flathead Lake. She enjoyed her kid’s activities and often traveled with them over long weekends.
In 2015, Jennifer started traveling to Mexico frequently with her husband and developed a strong love for the cities of Guadalajara, Guanajuato, Manzanillo, Tequila, and their betrothal site, Zihuatanejo. She shared her medical knowledge in Mexico with firefighters and paramedics while donating bunker gear and medical equipment to small towns in need. She was proud to say that she had many friends all over Mexico and returned home just five days prior to her death.
In July 2022, Jennifer rose to the peak of her career as a hospitalist and lead emergency room provider for a national organization called Docs Who Care. She died of a brain aneurysm while working in Ephrata, Washington, in the emergency room. Your stories can be posted online at WWJD.group where Jennifer’s healthcare legacy will carry on.
Jennifer is survived by her current husband, Mark Charles Keith; former husband, Jeff Michael Armstrong; son, Benjamin Armstrong; daughter, Amy Armstrong; mother, Judith Scott; father, Gary Edward Scott; sister, Amy Miller; and sister, Sarah Scott.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Umatilla High School at 1 p.m. Financial donations can be made for her children’s education at Banner Bank; contact Cindy Meyers.
